Jar of Love - Sending Love & Hugs

Hello and Happy Friday! My order arrived this week - Oh happy days! Almost spoilt for choice as to which stamps to play with first lol. Fortunately it arrived just in time for this week's challenges. I thought I would play along with my favourite card challenges and also feature a new product/card project in tonight's team projects highlights.

I was inspired to create another Get Well themed card from Global Design Project #39 and also one of my Crazy Crafters team members Petra Tailor, had a wonderful idea to make a difference to someone's life by creating and sending handmade cards with love who need cheering up or are going through down times. Please click here to see Petra's blog for this wonderful cause - "Let's support those with depression. From me to you, when you're feeling blue".

I chose to go with Jar of Love and Sunshine Sayings sets as they would be perfect together.
Here is the card I made... Clean and simple, a bunch of flowers to brighten the recipient's day. :)

I just love this set and had so much fun creating this card. Both Jar of Love and Sunshine Sayings comes as a bundle with coordinating dies that makes it so much fun and easy to use. The photo below shows the products I have used to create the card. I have also used the new In colors. Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Dapper Denim.

I love all the images and sentiment from both sets and the mason jar is fabulous. I have used vellum and gold heat embossed the image and just gives this almost glass feel. The flowers and ribbon have been stamped in the new in colors and have used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I have mounted the flowers with Stampin' dimensional to pop them up. For some dimension, I have added a glossy accents on the small flowers and hearts giving it a raised lacquer coating.

The sentiment is a combination of both sets and have used the pinking edge circle die from Baker's Box thinlits. The love has has been gold heat embossed to make it pop. The watercolour brush stroke image is from Sunshine Sayings and stamped in soft sky, and this just grounds the jar and label so it's not floating on the panel. The whole panel has been mounted on fun foam for an even raise and have added a pierced point border for a uniquely handmade card.

I added the same jar and elements inside the card as well to make it that extra special. The gold embossing just adds warmth and love to the card and should hopefully brighten the recipient's day.

To make it even more special, I have a stamped the back with Stampin' Up Better Than Email - "From My Heart to Yours and Handmade - Heartfelt, just adds a special touch.
